How much does a commercial cool room cost?
The honest answer is: it depends. Here are the factors that actually drive the price of a commercial cool room or freezer room, so you know what shapes a quote.
Why there's no single price
A commercial cool room can range from a compact walk-in for a café to a 5,000m² cold-storage facility, so quotes vary enormously. Rather than a misleading headline figure, it's more useful to understand the factors that move the number — then get a quote for your actual site.
The main cost drivers
Size and height are the biggest factors — more panel, more floor, more refrigeration. Temperature matters too: a freezer room (around −18 to −22°C) costs more than a cool room (around +2 to +5°C) because it needs thicker insulated panel, an insulated floor, door heaters and more refrigeration capacity. Beyond that: the refrigeration plant and controls, the number of rooms and temperature zones, door types and hardware, shelving, site access and craneage, electrical supply, and any compliance or monitoring the project requires.
Cool room vs freezer room
